Under $300 the choice is a plain charging base or a dock that empties the robot into a bag. Mopping is a pad you rinse yourself.

Roller mops on four of its five models here, and the only bagless docks on the page (X11 and X12 OmniCyclone).

Show only ECOVACSA charging base means emptying the bin after most runs. A self-empty dock pulls the dirt into a bag (or, on the two OmniCyclone models, a bin you empty every couple of months).
A drag pad is a damp cloth you rinse. Spinning pads and rollers scrub, and a mop-washing dock cleans them for you; heated water and hot-air drying help stop the smell.
A mop that lifts 10 mm clears low pile only. Medium carpet needs about 20 mm of lift, or mops that stay in the dock (lift chart).
“LiDAR only” maps the room but can’t see small things on the floor. 3D light and cameras are meant to spot cords and socks (the makers’ claim). Bump sensors only stop on contact.
Our pick is the Roborock Q10 S5+: a self-emptying dock and a vibrating pad that lifts 8 mm on carpet, the cheapest here with both. If you only need it to vacuum, the Roborock Q7 L5 is the cheapest robot here with LiDAR mapping, but it comes with a charging base only.
The ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 PRO Omni. It is the only robot under $500 here whose maker lists heated mop washing, hot-air drying and automatic detergent. ECOVACS pays us nothing today.
An anti-tangle (or hair-cutting) main brush and a self-emptying dock. 16 robots here have both, starting with the Roborock Q7 M5+ at $249.99; Roborock Q10 S5+, ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 PRO Omni and Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete, three of our four picks, are among them (filter by Pets). We didn’t test them on pet hair.
Choose one whose mop stays off the rug: it lifts 20 mm or more, stays in the dock, or is covered on carpet. Five robots here do: the ECOVACS DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone (mop cover), the Roborock Saros 10R (mops stay in dock), the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete (mop lifts 21.5 mm), the eufy Omni S2 (mop lifts 28 mm per Vacuum Wars) and the Roborock Saros 20 (mops stay in dock). A mop that lifts only 10 mm suits thin, low-pile rugs; our flagship guide compares lift heights against carpet pile.
Six robots here are 3.5 in (8.9 cm) tall or less by the maker’s figures: the eufy 11S MAX (2.85 in), the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete (3.13 in), the Roborock Saros 10R (3.14 in), the Roborock Saros 20 (3.14 in), the ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 PRO Omni (3.19 in) and the eufy Omni C20 (3.35 in). 4 of the 21 have no published height, so check the height table against the gap under your bed or sofa.
It depends on your budget. Roborock covers more price points on this page, from the Q7 L5 to the 36,000 Pa Saros 20; Dreame’s models here run 25,000 Pa or more from the D30 Ultra up. Our picks include both: the Roborock Q10 S5+ and Qrevo S Pro, and the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete. Both pay us a commission.
Only if you don’t want to empty the bin after most runs. A self-empty dock pulls the dirt into a bag; the Roborock Q7 M5+ does it for $249.99. The ECOVACS X11 and X12 OmniCyclone are the only bagless docks on the page.
From Amazon’s Robotic Vacuums listings in our affiliate network’s catalogue, we took each brand’s models with the strongest demand signals (best-seller rank and “bought in past month” badges where available, otherwise rating counts), added each brand’s current flagship and dropped discontinued models. The two “bought in past month” badges are Amazon’s, recorded Oct 15, 2026.
Specs come from each maker’s US product pages. If a maker doesn’t publish a figure we write “not listed” instead of borrowing one from a sister model; figures marked † are from Vacuum Wars, an independent reviewer. We did not test these robots. Prices, star ratings and rating counts are Amazon’s on the date shown; rating counts are often pooled across a model’s colours and bundles, so treat them as a popularity signal.
